Performance

Our Internet network is designed with fully redundant network routers connected to a high performance SONET fibre optic infrastructure. The network is configured with multiple diverse DS-3, OC-3, and OC-12 links to the U.S. Internet backbone.

Customer Premise Router

We supply a Cisco 2600 series router to be located on the customer premises. The basic purpose of the router is to examine packets of information coming from the LAN and route them to the Internet Service Provider who then routes the packets to their destination. The router also receives packets of information from the ISP and passes them to the appropriate IP address (host) on the customer's network. The customer router is configured with the user id and password of out router in the POP (Point of Presence).

IP Addresses

Static IP addresses are assigned to the customer as they are required and as can be justified according to ARIN guidelines.

Without IP addresses assigned to your customer's host computers (e.g. mail, news, Web servers and individual workstations) would not be able to access the Internet. Every device connected to the Internet must have a uniquely identifiable IP address.
