By utilizing AT&T's fibre-optic network in large metropolitan areas in Canada, customers can obtain broadband access speeds from 2Mbps up to 135Mbps and grow their access incrementally as required. The access is guaranteed to the AT&T routed core network. The Burstable ATM Internet Service allows customers to choose a specific committed information rate and be able to "burst" up to a burstable information rate that is twice the value of the CIR (to a maximum of 135Mbps).

Service Features with AT&T Canada's ATM service include:

Dedicated ATM Access with committed information rates starting from 2Mbps of IP Packet throughput and extending to a maximum of 135Mbps (OC3). Bursting capabilities (option) of up to twice the committed information rate (Option) for on net customers subscribing to this feature. Bursting rates start at 10Mbps (for a 5Mbps CIR) and go as high as 135Mbps (for customers subscribing to a committed information rate of 70Mbps or higher) CPE router - AT&T Canada will provide, manage and maintain the customer premises access router. Customers are responsible for providing the necessary interface cables from their network to the AT&T provided access router. The standard router provided with the ATM Internet access is a Cisco 7204 equipped with 128MB of RAM and dual power, this router is designed to meet very demanding requirement for speed and availability. IP Addresses - customers will not be charged for IP addresses assigned however the addresses are to be consider "non-portable" and AT&T will have the right reclaim assigned addresses if the customers is deemed not to be using them. One Professional Plan Account - This dial up account includes 150 hours per month of Internet Access, 5 email addresses and 5MB of personal web space. Domain Name Hosting - AT&T offers ISP customers Secondary Domain Name Service. Primary Domain Name Service is not available to ISP customers. BGP-4 Multihoming (option) - The AT&T multi-homed service option allows the customer to connect to the Internet using two or more different Internet Service Providers (NB - for customers requesting multi-homing, a number of pre-requisites have been defined).

AT&T Canada offers ATM Internet Service customers a 99.5% availability guarantee. ATM Internet service is guaranteed to be available 99.5% of the time in a given calendar month, If a customer reports one or more outages, and total downtime results in less than 99.5% availability in that calendar month, AT&T will credit the customer account 25% of the monthly recurring charge.
