Product Overview

E10 Internet allows customers to connect a small to medium sized office Local Area Network (LAN) to the Internet. Using Transparent LAN Services (TLS) for the network access, this connection can allow employees on the LAN to access the Internet for Web browsing, e-mail, etc., or it can be used to connect the company's mail or Web servers to the Internet. The additional bandwidth can support other applications such as Internet Virtual Private Networks, Voice-Over-IP, and Internet-based videoconferencing.

E10 Internet is an ideal solution for those customers who have outgrown the capacity of their existing T1 connection or for new customers who need greater speed than T1 Internet but do not require the additional bandwidth and features of OC3 Internet access.

Important Note About the PVC Sizes

PVC sizes are based on IP packet throughput. PVCs will be shaped to account for OC3 cell tax of approximately 15%. It should be noted that actual throughput on a 10Mbps service will be governed by the speed of the interface (Ethernet 10BaseT) which by its nature is capable of sustained data throughput of approximately 6-7Mbps.

99.5% Availability Guarantee

AT&T offers E10 Internet customers a 99.5% Availability Guarantee. E10 Internet is guaranteed to be available 99.5% of the time in a given calendar month. If a customer reports one or more outages, and total downtime results in less than 99.5% availability in that calendar month, AT&T will credit the customers account 25% of the monthly recurring charge (excludes incremental usage charges).

Installation Lead Times

The installation interval for E10 Internet is 21 business days. The actual installation date will be determined by the project manager once the order for service is accepted and made firm in the order system.
